After a C-section, a small scar-based lump may appear, causing an irregular surface that interferes with smooth, flat-lying clothing. While it does not address loose skin or fat above the belly button as a tummy tuck does, the petite tuck is effective in contouring the region above the pubic hairline.

What is the petite tuck?

A petite tuck is an option for several scenarios, ranging from a slight bulge above a C-section scar to someone with a large amount of redundant skin below the navel who needs a speedier recovery, often due to variables such an inability to get ample time off from work. A petite tuck is a powerful, minimally invasive way to optimize a tummy with limited skin excess or help give a boost to someone who simply needs some momentum at the outset of their weight loss journey.

What are the advantages of a petite tuck?

    • A flatter, more elegant pubic area and lower abdomen
    • Elimination of the annoying bulge often seen after a a C-section
  • Does not require general anesthesia
  • Quicker recovery
  • No drains
  • Frequently provides a psychological boost to those who want a dramatic change who are beginning their weight loss journey

Who is an ideal candidate for the petite tuck?

  • Those seeking change only in the lower portions of the tummy
  • People without significant muscle separation from childbirth
  • People with limited time off (one week) before having to go back to work
  • Patients that are not ideal candidates for general anesthesia
  • Individuals who need a boost in their appearance to help jumpstart a healthy lifestyle

What can I expect from my petite tuck?

  • Quicker recovery since there is no general anesthesia
  • Ability to return to desk type work in 5 to 7 days
  • No drains
  • Contouring isolated to the skin directly around the pubic region
  • Lifting of the sagging pubic area seen following childbirth
  • Most all C-section scars will be removed with a petite tuck
